Anton Andrienko
Anton Andrienko — contemporary artist, sculptor, and experimental film director.
Born in 1993. In 2020, he graduated from the Rodchenko Art School of Photography and Multimedia in Moscow, where he studied documentary photography under the guidance of Valery Nistratov.
Anton has worked as a photojournalist with various publications, including Meduza. He covered protest rallies and demonstrations related to Alexei Navalny.
In his work, Anton combines traditional artistic techniques with new technologies, exploring the boundaries between the real and digital worlds. His practice includes photography, video, installations, sculpture, and objects. The main themes of his work focus on identity, transformation processes, the influence of mass media, and aspects of social coexistence. He pays special attention to social changes occurring in digital environments and their reflection in the physical world.
In 2020, Anton participated in the "Photobiennale 2020" in Moscow, presenting his project "Pattern," which explores visual phenomena of systematically repeating images in everyday life. This project was exhibited at the Rodchenko School in 2018 and at the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow, in 2020.
In collaboration with artist Stasya Grishina, Anton presented the exhibition "Doesn't Smell" at the Rodchenko School in 2020, and in 2022, the project "Po Ra" at the Moscow artist-run space "IP Vinogradov."
Currently, Anton lives in Germany, where he continues his studies at the HfG Offenbach (University of Art and Design Offenbach), specializing in media art, computer animation, and sculpture. He is also a member of the curatorial group "ay ay ay"—a non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and promoting young artists in Germany. The "ay ay ay" space, located in Offenbach am Main, serves as a platform for exhibitions and artistic initiatives.
Anton is actively working on new experimental projects, including multimedia installations and films, drawing inspiration from contemporary art, urbanism, and digital media aesthetics.
